GOING HOME
After staying the required or the recommended amount of time here after your surgery, it will be time for you to prepare to go home. The most important thing we want you to know is that we will still be here for you after you return home.
It is recommended to still take it easy once returning home, that is why we recommend preparing things before you leave to ensure that you will have a peaceful and organized environment to return home to. The typical process one follows when preparing to return home is the following:
- You will have your last post op appointment with Dr. Cruise and he will make sure that all your questions are answered and that you feel confident in caring for yourself at home.
- Pack up and gather your belongings
- Take in any sights or just a walk outside to enjoy our wonderful fresh ocean air.
- You can stop by Fashion Island to pick up any mementos or gifts to bring home
- We will help to arrange transportation back to the airport
- Once you are onboard your flight, it is important to remember to ambulate (walk around) every 2 hours to avoid blood clots.
- Once home, continue to rest to ensure the best healing outcome.
- We will be contacting you so make sure you arrived home safely and all is well.
- If you have any questions, we can set either a telephone or virtual meeting with Dr. Cruise, so that he can personally address any concerns you may have.
- Now that you will be part of our plastic surgery family, we will continue to stay in touch and update you via our newsletters and emails about happenings within our office as well as the aesthetic industry.
- Even though you will be located far away, we are will always be here to assist you with whatever you need.
