POST OP VISIT

 

The day after your surgery, you will be coming to our office to meet with Dr. Cruise for your post op visit. This visit will not only allow us to see how you are healing, but it will also be very informative for you. We will be giving you post op visitdetailed instructions on how to care for yourself as well as answer any questions you have about your post op care. The following steps are usually followed during the visit.

  1. Dr. Cruise will examine all the areas where surgery was performed to ensure that all is healing properly.
  2. We will change the dressings covering the incision sites.
  3. We will assist you in fitting your compression garment and instruct you on the proper amount of pressure that is needed. We can also give you information on where to purchase additional garments if needed.
  4. We will provide you with a post op kit that contains all the supplies that you may need for your recovery, as well as instruct you on using them.
  5. Rest assure, you will not leave our office until you feel confident in the post op instructions that we give you…ask all the questions you need to.
  6. You will then either be transported back to Aura or we will help to arrange transportation back to your hotel.
  7. Further post op visits will be arranged according to needs.
  8. You are free to call us at anytime during your stay with questions or concerns…and remember, no question is too small or insignificant, we want you to feel comfortable and secure.
