What Accommodations are Necessary for Recovery?
Dr. Cruise requires that all his patients who have general anesthesia must have someone accompany them for 24 hours after surgery. For this reason, patients who have no one with them must stay, at a minimum, one night at our luxurious over night recovery facility, Aura. They will provide transportation from the surgery center to their facility and they will also bring you back to our office the next day for your post-operative appointment. Dr. Cruise will call you in the evening to make sure all is well.
Aura is a surgical recovery center that is located in beautiful Laguna Beach. Located just 20 minutes away from the surgery center, Aura boasts amazing views of the Pacific Ocean and offers a beautiful, serene and comfortable environment for you to recover in. You will receive one on one care from a registered nurse and also personal attention from the staff who will make sure all of your needs are met. All of our patients rave about how amazing the food is and how it felt like a spa retreat.
The ideal way to have your surgery travel plans run smoothly is to have someone accompany you. Often this is a spouse, family member or friend. Routinely, however this is not possible. Both scenarios have their recovery requirements. We have developed packages for both to make sure your recovery is as comfortable as possible.
