I was referred to Dr. Cruise by a very close friend of mine, which was my first indication he was a reputable surgeon, and went to visit him for a breast augmentation procedure. From the moment I walked into Dr. Cruise's office, it was a serene, calming, and professional environment that made me feel comfortable and not overwhelmed. Prior to my first visit with Dr. Cruise I had done extensive research on his website which is filled with virtually every kind of imaginable information. Although I had taken in depth notes of my concerns and/or questions, I still wanted to direct these questions at Dr. Cruise. Family and the Mommy Makeover

 

I am a fortunate woman. My family was very supportive of my decision to have my mommy makeover from the beginning. At first, my husband was slightly concerned that the recovery from the tummy tuck would be too intense, but overall he was extremely supportive. He understood it was something I really wanted to do for myself and now that we are finished having our three children it was time. He said, “Honey, if it will make you happy, I’m all for it”.

 

My children were also very supportive. They saw me working out at the gym day after day struggling to get back to my pre-pregnancy shape, with very limited results. I think, they loved the idea of their mother coming home happier and with a smaller waste line. Though they couldn’t really wrap their mind around the results, my family thought it would be good for me to finally have what I tried so hard to achieve through diet and exercise alone.

It has been 10 weeks since my procedure and my results are stunning. My once 38ish inch waste line already measures a sleek 28 inches and it will most likely continue to shrink as I heal. My once tight size 9’s have now been reduced to a loose 5, and I feel great. As far as my breast augmentation is concerned… let me just say my husband is pleased with the results. He has always been polite and supportive of me, but now he compliments me in a way that makes me feel as if we are dating again. He dotes on my every word and constantly tells me how beautiful I look, how much he loves me, and how he will do anything to keep me happy.

Have your Cake and Eat it Too...

 

I was always a confident woman… Being a formal model and working in television and production, I’m inspired to keep an active, healthy lifestyle. Though I never thought about letting myself go, having children definitely took a significant toll on my figure. When you are single, you spend a lot of time focusing on yourself, your appearance, your body. Having children changes that focus, and although I am fortunate to have a great supportive husband and four beautiful boys to keep me busy; I wanted to feel the way I did about my body 10 years ago. So this year, my husband chose to help me get my former model body back.

 

It has been 10 months since the surgery, and I can honestly say I look better now than I did 10 years ago. Its funny how memory fades… time goes by and you forget what it felt like pre nursing days. It may seem vain, striving to have the body you want, but how you look reflects how you feel. You project more confidence to other people when you are confident in your own skin.

 

My husband is ecstatic with the results as well. He compliments me more now than ever, and says I look even better after having our four boys than I did before. Even my boys notice… they say “MOM’S HOT”!

This experience has been life changing; though I must say, you can’t do this for someone else – you have to do it for yourself. My advice to any woman going through the procedure is to choose a surgeon who will produce the most natural results.

After having “three 10-lb babies” in 14 years, Jones grew so self-conscious she wouldn’t let even her husband, Chris, see her undressed. “I was living with a disfigured stomach, loose skin and muscle damage, “says the 5’1” Huntington Beach, Calif., resident. Getting My Husband On Board

Over the past five years, I would often think about having my breasts done. My body just wasn’t the same after the birth of my last child. The only problem was, my husband wasn’t a big fan of plastic surgery. He would tell me consolingly, “your breasts are fine… they look great. I love you just the way you are.” Truthfully, I think he was afraid of the change… concerned about what my results would be and of any possible health risk.

So slowly I started warming him up to the idea. I brought his attention to several friends who already had implants and showed him a few before and after photos. Finally, a year ago he came around. He knew how much I wanted the procedure and wanted to see me happy. So I was on my way!

It has been 4 months since my surgery. Initially, I thought the incisions would be bigger than what they are. However, they actually are hairline incisions that have almost completely faded. As for my husband’s vote… needless to say, he loves the results!

Honestly, I think for my husband, it was just a matter of adjusting to a new idea. I am a naturally confident woman, but now I wear a lot of things I would have never put on before, and I’m not afraid to show it off… I have the pictures to prove it!

Back in Shape After Baby

Lumi and her husband, Marc, have owned and managed Lady of America in Newport Beach since 2006. Not only does Lumi manage the club, she is also one of the personal trainers.

In December of 2006 Lumi discovered she was pregnant with her first child, Stella. Due to complications early in the pregnancy, Lumi was required to live a sedentary lifestyle. This meant no treadmill, no weight training… not even walking. Of course, this was a huge adjustment for this normally very active woman. Because of the lack of exercise, the once super fit Lumi gained 45 pounds during her 9 month pregnancy.

In September of 2007, Stella was born. This beautiful baby girl not only added joy to this new mom’s life, but also a much busier schedule. This meant Lumi wouldn’t have as much time as she used to for things she loved, such as working out. Somehow, however, she found a way to fit it in! In only four months this busy mom dropped 50 pounds. Lumi reached this goal by following a healthy diet, doing 45 minutes of cardio 4 times a week, and doing a weight training program 3 times a week.

 

“Proper training allowed me to get my body back into shape but did not help with my deflated breasts. I went to Dr. Cruise and, now, my breasts look even better than they did before Stella” says Lumi.

 

Busy or not, Lumi made sure to have time for one of the most important things in life, her health. Being in good shape and following a regular exercise routine gives her lots of extra energy to get through her day at work, and most importantly, she still has energy left over for when she gets home to spend time with her baby.

After having two children and then tummy tuck, I'm really enjoying wearing more tight fitting clothing. I feel great! The recovery was very easy with no pain. I used to be very concerned how I looked in lingerie and now it is quite enjoyable to wear what I want. The most amazing to me was the nicer rounder but. After the liposuction of the flanks, it totally became more round and prominent. I never thought I had it ;-).

It has been two months since my breast lift and augmentation surgery and I just wanted to write and let you know how thrilled I am with both the process and the results. The two other consults I had prior to choosing a plastic surgeon taught me that there are plenty of doctors who will perform a surgery and, in the case of breast augmentation, talk to you about size etc, and then (often in an insensitive and "clinical" way) tell you how it will be and what they will do, but very few who will really listen to why you are seeking surgery, consider lifestyle, give you personalized options based on those factors!

Veronica is a glowing, content thirty-something mom blessed with three children. But, like many mothers, her blessings came with a sacrifice.

When Veronica stopped breast feeding her youngest and lost the baby weight, her breast size decreased significantly from a 34C to a 32A. This major loss in size left her feeling depressed and self-conscious.

 

Change was imminent when Veronica's 3-year-old daughter laid her head upon her chest and said,"Mommy, the baby must have drunk all your milk because your breasts are empty!" "I felt as if I looked like a 70-year-old woman," says Veronica. "Images of women with sagging breasts belong in National Geographic." Veronica soon selected a plastic surgeon that appeared to have all the proper credentials.

 

After her breast augmentation, Veronica experienced severe pain and nausea coupled with an undesirable breast appearance. The implants were far too big for her body type, now filling a full 34D on her petite 5'2 frame. She emphatically expressed her dissatisfaction with the surgeon. I had a full tummy tuck, breast lift, breast augmentation w/silicone implants, and lipo of the breast roll areas (bra line on sides). The procedures were a gift to myself after a 60# weight loss. After researching doctors up and down the West Coast from San Diego to Seattle, my husband & I chose Dr. Cruise, then traveled from Oregon, and stayed in the OC area for 3 weeks following surgery. Both he & his staff made me feel like I was their only patient... never felt rushed in the pre or post op appointments. All questions were answered thoroughly without ever making me feel like it was a dumb question. I would highly recommend him to anyone. My results are fantastic!
