Dr. Cruise has dedicated his life to his passion, the art of cosmetic surgery, and has practiced it actively for the past eight years. Born February 3, 1965, Dr. Cruise grew up in the midwest city of St. Clair Shores, Michigan. From the time he graduated as Valedictorian from Lakeview High School, his professional goal was to become a plastic surgeon. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wayne State University in Michigan and in the upper class of his medical school also at Wayne State University. He then began his extensive training in general surgery, hand surgery, microvascular surgery and plastic surgery.
While cosmetic surgery is his primary focus, Dr. Cruise also has dedicated considerable time as a burn surgeon at the Grossman Burn Center at Western Medical Hospital, reconstructing disfigured burn victims. Restoring human form to faces devastated by burns has given him not only immense satisfaction but experience that could not be obtained elsewhere. It has also helped to develop his appreciation for the subtleties that define the human face and body.
Within his practice, Dr. Cruise oversees a highly-trained team of professionals dedicated to making your plastic surgery experience enjoyable. Dr. Cruise uses the very latest in plastic surgery techniques and equipment. One is computer imaging, which he often uses, depending on the surgery. Computer imaging helps to demonstrate what is possible and to show patients what they can expect as a result of their surgery. It is especially useful in rhinoplasty. Because patient trust is paramount to Dr. Cruise, he is always honest about the possibilities and limitations of procedures. This may mean telling a patient that what they want is simply not possible.
